Windows in the meantime was making noises as if something was disconnecting followed by a program error sound which I presume was COH2. At this point my MSI was saying the card was at 0c and had a usage percent of 4928495%.

What is strange however is that when it goes to a black screen I can hear other programs going on in the back, I crashed just now and had two friends on razer comms and I could still talk to them after the crash, I could hear the sound of the game until it started to break down and then stopped about a minute from the crash. Company of heroes 2 however is typically always doing it, ive had a few months where its stopped but then it eventually comes back. I recently had the same issue with Total War: Warhammer but that seems to have stopped.
